In this guide, we will see how to build a replica of the Deacy Amp.
The circuit of this amplifier has been created and transferred to veroboard by Paul Stevenson, founder of the blog Paul In The Lab, on which you can also find many other projects related to Queen and guitar pedals.
The proposed circuit is a modification of the schematic present in the Mullard transistor manual and is very similar to the "original" one present in the radio from which the amplifier board was taken.
When Greg Fryer made his version of the Deacy Amp, it was not yet known which exact radio the card came from and therefore he limited himself to making this simple push pull amplifier according to the more or less identical characteristics of the Mullard manual.
This particular version is the one I made myself and I must say that the sound is really very faithful to that of the original Deacy.
The guide will be divided into three sections: one concerning the construction of the speaker cabinet, one for the circuit and one for the loudspeaker.
Anyone wishing to add information to the various sections of the guide can send us an email or write a comment.
